Eric Krautheim’s love of food began early in life.

Together, with his wife Naomi and daughters Lauren and Emma, food and entertaining became a big part of their family, with regular gatherings of friends and family around their big dining room table.

At their annual the ‘To Hell with Winter’ party in 2019, Eric’s smoked chicken wings with his own special rub were a hit. When one guest suggested that he needed to either share the recipe or start selling it, the seed for Township was planted with Cluck ‘n Squeal its flagship product. From Cluck ‘n Squeal, the product line expanded quickly with additional blends, sauces, and salad dressings.

Starting with local markets, popularity grew quickly. In 2020 when people were stuck at home and took a renewed interest in cooking, the demand grew for quality locally made products and Eric regularly got asked, what’s new?

When a new product is requested, the test kitchen gets busy. Known as ‘play days’ in the kitchen, ideas are tossed around, and test batches are made, tweaking, and adjusting until the final seal of approval is obtained. When Naomi ultimately declares ‘f*ck that’s good’, a new product is born.

Now carried in 16 stores, Township product line continues to grow every month. In addition to the products we sell online and in stores, Township also provides bulk orders and custom blending to stores and restaurants and chefs.
