Weekend Meal Inspiration: Grilled Romaine Caesar Salad

One of our favorite salads is a twist that takes traditional Caesar Salad to the next level. Romaine lettuce stands up well to grilling, adding a touch of smokiness to the salad. This salad will not disappoint.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head romaine lettuce

  • I tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon Township 27 No-Missed Steak seasoning

  • Juice of 1 lemon, or Township 27 Caesar the Day Salad Dressing

  • Buffalo or Pork bacon, cooked and chopped

  • Fresh grated Parmesan cheese, crumbled feta cheese, or crumbled goat cheese



Method:

  1. Preheat grill

  2. Cut romaine lettuce head in half lengthwise

  3. Brush olive oil onto both halves

  4. Season both halves with seasoning

  5. Grille cut face down on grill until slightly charred on the edges, about 4-5 minutes

  6. Remove from grill, sprinkle with lemon juice, or the Caesar the Day

  7. Sprinkle with cheese


Add grilled chicken, steak or shrimp to make it a meal.


Serve!
